How it works

A prediction market for predictions.

Other prediction markets ask you to predict the outcome of external events. In Minority Rules, the players are the event. The market consists of all players progressing through iterative rounds wherein everyone privately and simultaneously selects the card they believe will be chosen by the least number of other players that round. The players who choose the right card are the winners, and those winners split the round's total stakes proportionately to their stake size relative to other winners.

Democratic, market-based outcomes that are fair.

All outcomes in Minority Rules are purely a result of the collective actions of all participating players. There is no external event to manipulate or inside information to be had. Any edge is found only in spending time in the market, studying the trends, and crowd psychology. The market also cannot be swayed by players with larger capital. Your prediction holds just as much weight in determining the outcome as any other player's, regardless of how much you stake.
